My Story

My love affair with travel started after college, when I packed my bags and moved to Chile with nothing but curiosity and a willingness to figure it out as I went. I spent months working in hostels and bed and breakfasts across the country — and somewhere along the way, something shifted.

I met people from every corner of the world, heard stories that expanded my understanding of what life could look like, and felt my eyes open to possibilities I hadn't even known existed. I came home a different person. And I've been chasing that feeling ever since.

That experience also planted a seed professionally. I spent the next decade building a career in hospitality — specifically in hotels — because I loved making people feel welcome. I loved the human connection. I loved being part of someone's experience of somewhere new. For ten years, that was enough.

Then the company I was working for went bankrupt. And as disorienting as that was, it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me — because it forced me to ask a question I'd been too busy to ask:

The answer was clear. It was never the buildings or the brands. It was the people.

The Trips That Changed Me

I've taken a lot of trips in my life. But a few have genuinely changed me.

The first was Chile — that post-college leap into the unknown that taught me what I was made of and showed me how wide the world really is.

The second was Morocco. I went as a solo traveler on a group trip hosted by a travel influencer I'd followed for years. It was shortly after a significant chapter of my life had closed, and I needed something to crack me back open. Morocco delivered. The people I met, the places we explored, the conversations we had — it was soul-nourishing in the truest sense. That trip showed me firsthand what it feels like to show up somewhere alone and leave feeling like you belong somewhere new.

The third was Australia. I'd always dreamed of diving the Great Barrier Reef, so I booked a week-long liveaboard and made it happen. Afterward I traveled through Queensland before landing in Melbourne — a city that felt, inexplicably and immediately, like home. I made incredible connections there and fell completely in love with the place. Australia holds a very special piece of my heart, and I'll be back.

Why Likeminded

Today, alongside Likeminded Travel, I'm also an Airbnb host — and hosting has taught me something that years in hotel management never quite could. When you're able to create a truly personal experience for someone, when you know their name and their story and what would make their stay feel special — that's when hospitality becomes something magical.

I started Likeminded Travel because I believe something deeply: we are all so much more alike than we are different. We just need the right conditions to find that common ground. Travel creates those conditions. It strips away the noise of everyday life, puts us somewhere unfamiliar, and suddenly we're open — to new experiences, new ideas, new people, and new parts of ourselves.

My job is to help you find those experiences. To connect you with trips and people that expand your world. And to take care of every detail in between so you can show up fully present and ready for whatever the journey brings.
